An English born graduate of French and Russian, Janet came to live in Poitou-Charentes with her family in September 2006. Having taught nursery children and adult night school in Staffordshire, she now offers what she likes to call her handholding service to expats living in France.
For those living in and around the Poitou Charentes area Janet can help with visits and appointments for those who don't yet have the French language skills to deal with hospital, doctor's, dentist's, tax interviews etc. by accompanying you personally on these visits.
For those further afield, she is also able to help with most aspects of French life with letter writing, emails and phone calls.

Says Janet, "I found that through our own learning curve, I soon ended up assisting friends and neighbours with communication difficulties of various kinds, so after a stint teaching English in French primary schools, I turned my attention to what I call my "Handholding service " under the Auto-Entrepreneur scheme in 2009. Purely through word of mouth, this has steadily grown to become a very satisfying persuit. I love my work, and pride myself in leaving no stone unturned to get what's required. My personal approach comes from a lifetime in diplomatic roles, both in the NHS and private industry, offering that one- to- one attention from the outset. I thrive on challenges and if there is an area I do not cover, I will certainly know someone who can !!"
